Becoming a volunteer for Port Stephens Koala Hospital is honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done (besides perhaps picking up the paint brush again). I absolutely love it. 🐨💕

Casey was found sitting at someone’s back door. As she was a bit too little to be on her own and it was right in the thick of breeding season, she had a little stay at Port Stephens Koala Hospital until it was safe for her release.

Painting a koala takes a lot of fine brush strokes to make up the layers in the fur. I wanted to make her look as soft and adorable as she was.
