This piece was painted for a Port Stephens Art Competition where the theme was Port Stephens History or Sustainability. It received a highly commended.
It is of the Nelson Bay Rock Pool that we no longer have here in the bay. This particular painting was based on a black and white photo taken in 1932. The challenge was to convert it to colour using my imagination of how I perceived it to be. The tiny details along wth the story behind it, make it a fun and interesting piece.
